N.C. Aquarium

N.C. Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores

The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is all about close encounters with the state’s amazing aquatic animals “from the mountains to the sea.”  The 306,000-gallon Living Shipwreckfeatures three species of sharks. Enjoy 40 other exhibits and plenty of activities, two nature trails and a gift shop. The Aquarium is five miles west of Atlantic Beach, and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for ages 62 and up and $6 for ages 6-17. Children 5 and under and members of the North Carolina Aquariums are admitted free.
